The Albion Fight Club is Born (AFC)

As promised by Sandbox International, its latest and most expansive update is on the horizon, and, like many guilds, we saw the endless possibilities for advancement in the new outlands, and hopefully, making a small part of it our permanent home. The prospect of having high tier dungeons and resources at your fingertips had many of our players licking their lips in anticipation. What better way to launch attacks than to storm out of your hideout and stop the enemy in its tracks? Imagine all the scenarios that could happen, and to top it all off—open world territory capture. No more powerful Guilds ruling the map through GvG’s; now every member of your alliance will have their say in the success of the alliance.

However, the logistical intricacies are complex and somewhat daunting.

The Brave Newbie and Bacon leadership see the potential pitfalls in the system. Operating in the new outland’s maps will be risky and danger will be hiding around every corner waiting to gank an ill-prepared alliance and shatter their dreams of a home. But with the alliance operating under one vision and co-operating as a well-oiled machine we will succeed. Only once our hideouts are settled and invulnerable can the hard work of building and sustaining a future for the whole alliance begin. Everyone will have a role to play from crafting to fighting and from transportation to organizing events will be a fine balancing act for any leadership team to manage.

One thing became very clear from the outset, no alliance is an island. If you are to thrive, then you need friends that you can rely on for support, because when the wolf is at your door, you need a team to hunt them down and make sure they think twice before entering your homeland.

With that in mind the Albion Fight Club (AFC) was conceived and put into place. We are a coalition of like-minded players that understand the benefits of working together and not fighting each other, as a rising tide will float all boats. BACON and Newby are the founding fathers of the AFC. A few much larger more veteran groups also agreed to support this idea with Error 404 and ARCH offering to help defensively protect against larger groups.

BACON and Newby alliances have a critically strategic objective of growing the Albion player base by helping the new guy find his or her place in the Albion world and helping them not to get swallowed up and become cannon fodder for some of the more aggressive alliances or multitude of potato farms and new player extortion rackets.

Additionally AFC has a one neutral zone where we have markets, crafting, and refining open to the entire coalition and coordinate our fun PVP ops out of for easy access and quality of life for everyone in the black zone.

Who is BACON?

BACON alliance is a group of similar-minded leaders with clear and well thought out objectives for the launch of Queen and then the upcoming Season 8 commencement. Loyalty and friendship, balanced with an aggressive play style that focuses on sustainability and growth through content creation and open world opportunities, will be key in all our successes.

We see a future where our own part of the outlands will be envied by other guilds for our ability to defend what we have, and, at the same time, offer services to anyone that wishes to do business within our walls.

Every BACON member, from the new player just entering our environment, to the most experienced, has a role to play, and we value everyone who joins us to stand against the tyranny rife within the game. A true BACON member is loyal to his colleagues and will fight to defend what we all believe in.

With the coalition standing tall as a beacon of light in the gloom of the outlands, we will succeed in being the very best guilds and alliances the game has to offer.

Who is NEWBY?

Brave Newby is an alliance with 500+ members across all time zones, led by a group of veteran players who want to improve the new player experience.

We want to create a movement that allows new players to experience everything that Albion has to offer under professional guidance. Our mission is to provide an incredible experience to new players and to help everyone to achieve their own goals, whilst also having fun!

We provide expert mentorship for all new players, no matter what your goals are. We have expert mentors from diverse Albion backgrounds in economy/industry, gathering/crafting, PvE and PvP.

Whether you’re brand new to Albion or an experienced veteran, if you enjoy learning from and teaching others, Brave Newby welcomes you!

Alliance? What’s That?

In Albion Online, guilds can only have a maximum of 300 members. We have grown well beyond that, and as such, formed into an alliance — an in-game group of guilds working together.

Our alliance is made up of several guilds; there is no difference or hierarchy between these. We don’t even use the individual guild’s chat channels to communicate — everyone uses alliance chat. We want to ensure that everyone has the same fantastic experience and access to all of the mentors, friends, and resources available within Brave Newby!

How Do We Help?

We want to help new players have the best possible introduction to the game and to become the adventurers that they want to be.

As part of that goal, our alliance is organized around Special Interest Groups (SIGs). These are groups of members interested in a particular activity — be it gathering, ganking, or making silver — who can discuss their activities with like-minded players and ask questions from experienced mentors. SIG leaders are veteran players who lead regular guild events to teach new players (affectionately known as “newbros”) the ropes of that activity.

Some of our existing SIGs include:

• Fame Farming SIG: Want to quickly level your weapon and armor skills? Join us in group dungeons, fame events and more!
• Gathering SIG: Love running around looking for shiny resources? We’ll help you stay safe in the Outlands and maximize your returns!
• Ganking SIG: Want to kill other players and take their stuff? So do we! Come join us!
• Junior Shotcaller SIG: Want to lead a 5-man squad or 100-player zerg to victory? We’ll teach you how to make the right calls and give you opportunities to practice!

Members are welcome to join as many or as few SIGs as they like. We want everyone to have access to knowledgeable and experienced mentors in their chosen activities, and to be able to find groups for PVP, PVE, GvG, ZvZ, CLM, HG, and just laughing about silly puns and posting memes in Discord! No matter what you enjoy doing, you will find friends and a home here.

Our alliance is also known for our free gear program – we hand out free Tier 4.1 gear to all members as needed! We want all our new players to explore the entire world of Albion and to take on battles for the fun of it without worrying about how they’re going to replace their gear. If we’re running a guild event, we’ll hand out Tier 4.1 at the beginning of the event and throughout the event as needed so that everyone can participate. If you get ganked while gathering, we’ll help to replace your gathering set so you can get back out there and find those shiny exceptional nodes!

You might have heard that some Albion guilds charge you a tax on every piece of silver you pick up off the ground – not Newby! We have a 0% tax rate in every one of our guilds. Our goal is to help you get off to a great start and learn to sustain yourself with your own personal economy — keeping everything you find only makes that easier!
